Barracuda Networks is a leading cybersecurity company providing comprehensive security solutions including email protection, data protection, managed XDR services, application protection, and network protection through its BarracudaONE platform. Founded in 2003 by Dean Drako, Michael Perone, and Zach Levow, Barracuda was previously public on the NYSE under ticker CUDA (2013-2017) before being taken private by Thoma Bravo in 2018. The company is now owned by private equity firm KKR, which acquired it in August 2022 for approximately $4 billion. Barracuda serves hundreds of thousands of IT professionals and managed service providers worldwide.
