About this guide
This guide covers Community features: incident hub, watch rooms, groups, activity, network, direct messages, and policy.
Community complements vendor status pages with peer coordination. Status pages remain authoritative for vendor-owned incident state.
- A public profile is required to participate visibly in watch rooms and similar surfaces.
- Watchlist vendors drive which incidents surface on your hub.
Hub
Track ongoing incidents on your watchlist, join discussions, and collaborate with your network. A public profile is required to participate visibly in watch rooms and other community features.
Hub layout
- Ongoing incidents for watchlist vendors with quick actions into rooms or vendor pages.
- Collaboration entry points when you need peer context during an outage.
Getting started
- Confirm profile settings if you plan to chat or post visibly.
- Maintain an accurate watchlist so the hub reflects your vendors.
- Open a incident card to join a watch room or read vendor status.
Watch rooms
Live incident coordination rooms for your watchlist and joined incidents.
During an incident
- Rooms open for active incidents on vendors you follow or incidents you join.
- Chat is peer coordination; verify impact against vendor status and your own telemetry.
Etiquette
- Share signal, not noise: repro steps, regions, products, and timestamps help others.
- Report abuse via in-product reporting; see Community policy for moderation rules.
Groups
Vendor-tagged communities for incident coordination and peer discussion.
Joining groups
- Open Account → Groups to see communities you belong to.
- Discover public vendor-tagged groups from the groups directory when signed in.
- Participate in threads during incidents relevant to that vendor community.
Activity
Comments and group posts from people you follow and groups you joined.
What appears
- Comments and group posts from people and communities you follow.
- Useful to catch up after time away without opening every group separately.
Network
People you follow, your followers, connections, and blocked members.
Tabs and relationships
- Following and followers for public peer graphs.
- Connections unlock direct messages when both sides accept.
- Blocked members suppress interaction across community surfaces.
Growing your network
- Visit member profiles from watch rooms or groups.
- Send connection requests to peers you collaborate with during incidents.
- Manage pending requests from the Network tabs.
Messages
Private conversations with your connections.
Direct messages
- Private conversations between connections.
