Zscaler has identified the cause of the issue as a software regression in a recent Service Edge software update. The regression may cause some DNS resolution requests to intermittently time out when users access domains that return larger-than-expected DNS responses. Zscaler is applying a validated mitigation across affected infrastructure and is expediting deployment of a corrective software update. We will provide further updates as additional progress is made.

Zscaler continues the phased deployment of the corrective software update to address the intermittent DNS resolution issue affecting some customers. Deployment has been completed across all ZS2 infrastructure, with significant progress made across ZSNet, ZSCloud, and ZS3. Deployment across the remaining cloud infrastructure in APAC, EMEA, and AMER is ongoing, and Zscaler will provide further updates as progress continues.
